Field notes on RevTech, MarTech, and demand generation from someone who’s built the stack, not just read about it — plus consulting for teams whose systems have outgrown the way they were built.
Complexity is the enemy. I make it make sense.
Most martech and AI content is written to sell you something or impress you into silence. I write to do the opposite — take apart the stack, the data, and the AI hype cycle, and explain what's actually happening underneath, in plain language. I spent 15+ years building demand generation, marketing operations, and analytics infrastructure for enterprise organizations, most recently running Digital Marketing, Demand & Digital Operations for the Americas at a $20B commercial real estate firm. I write and consult from that experience — not from a vendor deck.
How I think about the stack
Every martech environment I’ve ever inherited looks different on the surface and identical underneath. Same four layers, different tool names.
The tools change every year. The job is making sure data keeps flowing left to right without a human babysitting every handoff.
AI Canopy
An interactive tool I built to map the AI product landscape by category — the same map I pull up live during vendor demos, so a pitch gets judged against the whole canopy, not just the one branch the vendor wants you looking at.
Built for my own demos, useful for anyone else trying to figure out where a vendor's pitch actually sits.
